Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using CaribGenius ("the platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including students, parents, and any other individuals who access CaribGenius.

What CaribGenius Provides

CaribGenius is an exam preparation platform for Caribbean students, offering diagnostic assessments, topic practice, mock exams, progress tracking, and AI-assisted explanations. The platform is currently focused on CSEC subjects and is designed for use on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Accounts and Registration

• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to register. Users under 18 should have parental awareness of their use of the platform.
• One person may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits.

Free and Paid Plans

CaribGenius offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers. The features available on each plan are described in the app and on this website. We reserve the right to modify plan features with reasonable notice.

Subscription payments are processed by third-party providers (Stripe for web/card, Apple App Store, Google Play). Refund eligibility is subject to the policies of the respective platform through which you subscribed.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically copy platform content or data.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account.
• Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or platform systems.

Intellectual Property

All content on CaribGenius — including questions, explanations, syllabus structures, and platform design — is the property of CaribGenius or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any platform content without explicit written permission.

Nothing in these terms restricts your use of publicly available syllabus information from the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), which is an independent body.

Accuracy of Content

We work to ensure our questions and explanations are accurate and aligned with current CSEC syllabi. However, we do not guarantee that all content is error-free. If you identify an inaccuracy, please report it via our help page. CaribGenius is not a substitute for official CXC materials or qualified teacher instruction.

Limitation of Liability

CaribGenius is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee any specific exam outcomes as a result of using the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaribGenius is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the platform.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time via the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which CaribGenius operates. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance.
